Spoilers alert. If you haven't seen the end of BSG, read no further.

Okay, I liked the ending to BSG, but unlike James, I do not believe everything was wrapped up neatly. In fact, I'm kind of livid.. this is yet another example of a TV show that was put to air without a story. If you watched Monday's special, they show pretty much got funding because Moore said "And Starbuck is a woman. And there's a woman president".

At some point, the tv shows of this ilk that get produced -must- grow up. They should have a full story written from go to woe well before any footage has been shot at all. Instead of selling a tv show on a concept or idea, they should be sold on a complete story with a ripper ending.

Starbuck did not lead anyone to their doom, she was not the harbinger of death. The visions of the opera house were slapped the only way Moore could figure out how to do it. The visions were written off as "gifts" from a higher being. If you analyze the whole story with the understanding that people were being manipulated, you get the impression that this higher being -ended- civilization before it made some critical breakthrough that would have allowed it to compete with it. "Uh oh, technology running rampant.. destroy!"

So, no, I'm not happy with the way the show played out. I'm glad it -had- an ending that ever so partly made sense and wrapped things up in a nice way. I felt for Adama when his horrible president died with him in the shuttle. But that was about it. I was very annoyed that the producers of the show had no ending until they were forced at budget-point to write one.

You call yourselves writers? Shame on you all.
