Patrick Logans calls B*S on my rant. And he's right. I went overboard with my rant on the iPhone. Things aren't all that bad - you can make widgets which talk back on the internet to download real content and do interesting things - making the phone a semi-smart portable UI. Making binaries for the platform is the "closed" architecture and I guess I can live with that for now. After all, I didn't rant and rave when iPods closed architecture hit the streets.
