Well, needless to say my vision of the blog posting tool and James's interpretation were slightly different things :) That said, I decided to make the time to push my ideal blog posting tool.

If James really hates it we can always fork :)

Here's my version of the posting tool so far. It also needs a lot of testing and work still, but I think it's a step in the right direction:
