I just got through reading [Niall's report from ESUG>http://wiki.eranova.si/esug/DOWNLOAD/nfrESUG2003reportPublic.pdf]. It was very interesting to see the sorts of things being presented in Europe versus the stuff at SS'03. I'd say the big difference is that SS was very Cincom dominated, while ESUG had a wider variety of contributors.

One very funny quote by Niall is this one: "Eliot at the epicentre surrounded by torch-holders for the one true Smalltalk". I find this especially funny because I'm one of the ones that hangs out in the 'VW' #smalltalk channel. I'm only a recent VW convert. All my commercial work is done in VA, so I can't really relate to Niall's thinking on this line :)
