This Typo Meter goes to 11.

I was being an old fogie.. which is bad when you're my age. I liked my old keyboard - no windows key. It's a good keyboard. I've self repaired it several times. Heck, the neck of the space bar button is actually the cut off end of a biro!. So there's lots of nastalgia associated with popping the space key back in after hitting it a bit too hard.

But the keyboard is very old now. It's amazing that during this time keyboards have moved from $80 down to $20. This keyboard I've picked up is $25 and it USB with only a few extra keys. Actually, it's an 88-key keyboard, so I'm struggling to get used to the confined layout.

On top of that, this keyboard seems to often repeat keys I've hit. So instead of writing head, heaead comes out. I have no idea. I'm beginning to suspect it's some sort of macro feature?

The point of this blog? Just a warning that if you decide to live on the edge and totally change the way you interface with your computer, you're up for a big re-learning curve!
